           – Advisor: Professor Sulochana Gadgil
           –Trying to improve the performance of Coupled forecast model 

             (CFS) from National Center for Environmental Prediction (NCEP), for 

             monsoon prediction over tropics.
           –Analysing the effect of introducing convective downdraft in cumulus 

             parameterization using SFM, NCEP
    

     Continental Tropical convergence Zone (CTCZ) cruise,
         –Scientific cruise over Bay of Bengal 

           Fall 2009

             – Was onboard ocean research vessel Sagarkanya for a period of  

                forty days with thirty scientists to determine the role of CTCZ in controlling monsoon over India.
